about me
I am research scientist in the atmospheric science department at Colorado State University, where I work in the Barnes group. My research uses machine learning methods to improve climate predictions and hurricane forecasting.
I received my Ph.D (physics) from the University of California Riverside where I worked with Simeon Bird. My research involved machine learning and various topics in cosmology, including cosmic strings and the Lyman-α forest.
For undergrad, I studied physics and astronomy at Western Washington University. While there, I had the opportunity to work with Kevin Covey, researching binary stars. I also worked with Brad Johnson and Janelle Leger, researching thin film structures.
